The Diamond Series (begun July 2010) are inspired by Orthodox iconic fetish objects that I've witnessed in travels through Europe. Each one represents a potential identity or entity. Some Diamonds utilize colors from my daily life. In these the background is derived from hard urban surfaces, while the foreground figures use colors from subways, advertising, buildings, fashion, etc.

Materials used include beeswax, powdered pigments, and organic resins. All diamonds feature wrap-around canvas on 4cm-deep stretchers. Framing is optional.
